INDems Statement on Rep. Jim Banks Skipping COVID-19 Relief Vote for CPAC

Congressman Jim Banks just showed Hoosiers he doesn’t care about them. Instead of showing up to vote on the COVID-19 relief package this evening, which would deliver much-needed aid for the Hoosier State, Banks opted out to attend the GOP’s CPAC conference instead. What’s worse, Banks explained in a letter to a congressional colleague that “due to the ongoing public health emergency” he would be unable to attend tonight’s vote. 

After learning of this disgusting news, the Indiana Democratic Party sent the following response:

“Congressman Jim Banks: Putting QAnon before Hoosier families. Banks doesn’t care about his constituents at all, and it’s why we cannot trust him.” – Indiana Democratic Party
