In a Facebook post, Karlee Macer exits the race for INDEMS Chair :

Over the past few months I’ve had great conversations with Democrats across the state about the future of the party. We know that the road ahead will require hard work, energy and a passion for rebuilding our infrastructure. Unfortunately a family medical emergency has taken precedence, and I will no longer be seeking the position of party chair. While I will be taking this time to focus on my family, I look forward to supporting the next elected chair and championing the causes of Hoosiers. I’d like to thank everyone who offered their support on this journey, and will continue to stand beside those who are putting in the work to fight for Democrats.
