State of the State: Eric Holcomb – All Talk, No Action on Teacher Pay

“It’s simple: Governor Eric Holcomb didn’t follow through when he promised repeatedly to increase teachers’ pay in 2021,” said John Zody, Chairman of the Indiana Democratic Party. “Holcomb’s failure to include a wage increase for some of our essential workers diminishes his credibility and makes it hard for any Hoosier to trust him when he talks about our classrooms. Indiana’s teachers deserve a pay raise, and they deserve to be next in line to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.”

State of the State: Eric Holcomb – All Talk, No Action on COVID-19

“Governor Holcomb buckled to fringe ideology and the demands from a failed U.S. President, so why should Hoosiers have faith in any of the Governor’s pandemic recommendations when he’s proved to be a politician who’s all talk with no action?” said Drew Anderson, spokesman for the Indiana Democratic Party. “Hoosiers have thankfully begun to receive their vaccinations, however, with a new more contagious COVID-19 strain in the state, Indiana needs an all-encompassing approach to fully squash the virus for good. But, Holcomb has refused — that’s not a ‘success’.”

State of the State: Eric Holcomb – All Talk, No Action on Jobs

“Hoosiers are struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic, and many workers are clocking in overtime at their essential jobs to provide for their families — all while facing the prospect of contracting the coronavirus,” said Lauren Ganapini, executive director for the Indiana Democratic Party. “Governor Holcomb and the Indiana Republican Party have created an economic mirage full of job commitments and false hope, when the truth reveals the state lost ‘good jobs’. Hoosiers should not hold the INGOP to their word, because it’s just a lot of talk with very little action on many issues.”
