While complaining about President Donald Trump’s Twitter suspension, Banks called for people to “fight back” while describing reform to Silicon Valley as “do or die”. Mind you, we’re not even a week removed from the domestic terrorist attack at the U.S. Capitol.

In response to this political stunt, the Indiana Democratic Party sent out this response:

“We’re not even a week removed from a domestic terrorist attack on the USA, and Congressman Jim Banks is already inciting more violence on our nation. He may want to be Josh Hawley, but this rhetoric has no place in Indiana politics. It’s why we’ve asked him to resign earlier this week.” – Indiana Democratic Party, 1.9.21
