DR. WOODY MYERS’ STATEMENT ON GOV. HOLCOMB “PLAYING GAMES WITH SCHOOL FUNDING”
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – On the news today of Governor Eric Holcomb’s decision to delay the ADM count, which puts state leaders already on the record as wanting to lowball school funding for schools who “go virtual,” in the driver’s seat, Dr. Woody Myers had the following call to action:
“We need a special session to discuss school funding right now,” said Dr. Woody Myers. “Otherwise Hoosier students are going to suffer with subpar funding that puts kids at risk and special interests in charge. Consequently, Governor Holcomb has now forced this election to be a referendum on school funding and a pandemic is no time to play games with kids’ livelihoods.”
