This Saturday, Former U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly will join the Cass County Democratic Party for a meet and greet event at the Riverside Park in Logansport from 5:00-7:00 PM. The former senator will hold a conversation with Hoosiers about President Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan and why the federal relief package is delivering for Indiana and its families, which includes $1,400 checks for 91-percent of Hoosiers, $5.8 billion for state and local communities, and nearly $2 billion for Indiana’s classrooms.

Joe Donnelly will also preview the president’s upcoming American Jobs Plan (AJP) and the opportunity it would bring to revitalize the state of Indiana. Once passed, the Jobs Plan will strengthen the state’s unions through the PRO Act, pick up where the Rescue Plan left off by expanding broadband access, and increase childcare opportunities for 55-percent of Hoosier families who live in a childcare desert.

“Under President Joe Biden’s leadership, Hoosier families are being set up for long-term success, and we should celebrate the opportunities it’ll provide for our state and economy in the coming years. The American Rescue Plan is helping us get shots in arms and allowing us to return to normalcy, but it’ll be the American Jobs Plan that will take Indiana to the next level,” said former U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly. “I look forward to sharing the bright future that’s in store for us as we celebrate the success that comes when genuine partnerships are made between state and federal elected leaders.”
