St. Joseph Democratic Party Chair Stan Wruble Resigns
Today, Stan Wruble announced his resignation as Chair of the St. Joseph County Democratic Party effective immediately. A well known and respected local attorney, Wruble has accepted an employment offer which will require that he relocate outside of St. Joseph County making him ineligible to continue to hold his post as Party Chair.
Wruble Stated:
“It has been an honor serving in this role and I appreciate all of the individuals I have worked with over these last 18 months. I did not make this decision lightly, but feel that I must do what is best for my family. St. Joseph County will always be my home and I look forward too many trips back to visit in the future. Vice Chair Debbie Lady Block, along with the rest of the Central Committee, has my full confidence in working to elect a new Chair and move our Party forward. Thank you all for your support and friendship.” Debbie Ladyga-Block will be acting Party Chair in the interim until a new Chair is elected by a caucus of Democratic precinct committee persons. Regarding Wruble’s resignation, Ladyga-Block stated: “Stan had to make a difficult choice and we all support his decision to put his family first. I have enjoyed working with him over these past 18 months and am glad we will be seeing him for visits from time to time in the future.” Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the caucus to replace Wruble will again be held in a drive-by voting fashion. |
