As y’all saw, Governor Eric Holcomb filed a lawsuit challenging the constitutional legality of the emergency powers legislation (House Bill 1123) that was passed by the Indiana General Assembly this session. The policy was vetoed by Gov. Holcomb only for it to be overridden again by vote last week.

Upon learning of this news and yet another development in the Indiana Republican Party’s civil war, the Indiana Democratic Party issued the following statement

“The Indiana Democratic Party has spent the last 100 days helping President Joe Biden pass the American Rescue Plan and get Indiana safely out of COVID-19. Looks like the Indiana Republican Party is continuing with their intraparty civil war that’s done nothing but harm the state in the process.” – Drew Anderson, spokesman for the Indiana Democratic Party

If this isn’t proof that the republican party is on its last legs I don’t know what is. But while they’re busy destroying themselves and dying on the alter of Donald Trump, I hope Indiana dems will continue to seek progress, justice, and equity.

Ps… Love the gif! So appropriate for this moment 😂
