Looks like State Representative Jim Lucas is now citing Nazi rhetoric on his social media channels. This time, Lucas quoted the Chief Propagandist for Adolf Hitler himself. Sadly, Lucas’s social media rant fits a longer and more disturbing pattern by the Indiana GOP over the last year. Oath Keeper Scott Baldwin rings a bell, right?

The Indiana Democratic Party issued the following statement in response to Lucas:

“America and her allies defeated the Nazis in 1945 and yet State Representative Jim Lucas thinks posting quotes from their leaders is totally acceptable in 2022. It’s not, and never will be. His actions follow a troubling pattern within the Indiana Republican Party of allowing extremism to bleed into party politics and even policy — from the state GOP refusing to denounce a swastika flying outside a small Indiana town to Oath Keeper and State Sen. Scott Baldwin wanting Nazism to be taught impartially in our schools. Republican politicians in our state are leading voters down a very dark path that does not reflect our American values. It’s a record they should be ashamed of, and the only way to stop them is to vote them out on November 8.” – Drew Anderson, spokesman for the Indiana Democratic Party
