Democratic congressional candidate Brian Jaye issued the following statement on Michigan school shooting:

“We are saddened by the senseless tragedy at Oxford high school. We grieve for the families of those killed and injured and we share in the anxiety of every parent. This incident once again highlights not only the need for more sensible gun laws, but also the need to fund and expand community mental health programs. “
