Unemployment claims in Indiana saw a decrease last week, according to data released by the U.S. Department of Labor. Initial filings for jobless benefits fell to 3,097 for the week ending February 8, down from 3,489 the previous week. These claims serve as a key indicator of layoffs and job stability in the state.

Nationally, unemployment claims also declined, with the U.S. reporting 213,000 new claims last week, a decrease of 7,000 from the previous week on a seasonally adjusted basis.
