The Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission has for the second time levied charges against Attorney General Todd Rokita for his treatment of Dr. Caitlin Bernard.

The commission alleges Rokita made “false statements” to the state Supreme Court during his first reprimand in 2023. It was during that reprimand when Rokita denied responsibility in a press statement, despite acknowledging it in his own report to the state Supreme Court.

“Todd Rokita is once again being charged for his misconduct against Dr. Caitlin Bernard as our Attorney General. This could have all been avoided if Rokita decided to respect our medical professionals and the care they gave to a ten-year old girl to prevent her from potentially having to experience life-threatening complications. Instead, he only tried to play more politics,” said Indiana Democratic Party Spokesperson Sam Barloga“Hoosiers deserve better from their top law enforcement official than someone who violates the law to score political points and attack doctors. AG Rokita should apologize to Dr. Bernard and all Hoosiers for his conduct throughout this process.”
