Dr. Valerie McCray Wins Only U.S. Senate Debate; Jim Banks Fails To Even Show Up
The only debate for Indiana’s U.S. Senate election is in the books, and Dr. Valerie McCray showed why she’s the clear choice in the race, while Jim Banks wouldn’t even show up.
Dr. McCray touched on codifying abortion rights nationwide by making Roe v Wade the law of the land, expanding access to healthcare and broadband, and continuing Indiana’s manufacturing resurgence under the CHIPS and Science Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
“It should be telling to all Hoosiers that the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate did not even show up to give a job interview to the people of Indiana,” said Indiana Democratic Party Chair Mike Schmuhl. “Dr. McCray showed a clear vision of how she’d be a fighter for hard-working families as our next United States Senator. She will stand for your medical privacy by ending Mitch McConnell’s gridlock and codifying Roe v. Wade, fight for commonsense gun safety laws to ensure everyone is safe in their schools, churches, and communities, expand on the progress of the CHIPS and Science Act, and show up to the Senate everyday thinking about improving healthcare and creating good, high-paying jobs in Indiana.”
“Hoosiers, we can elect a champion for working families instead of someone in Jim Banks who won’t even show up to do the job.”
