Welcome back to The Indiana Democratic Party’s weekly series called We Listened So You Don’t Have To: The Micah Beckwith Weird Weekly Roundup, which serves as a one-stop-shop that summarizes all the weird, offbeat, and simply gross things Mike Braun’s running mate Beckwith says. Prepare yourself, people: It gets weird over there. Bonus: At the end of every Roundup, we’ll include the cherry on top, AKA that week’s weirdest moment.

Remember, Braun said on the convention stage in June, according to POLITICO’s Adam Wren, about his running mate Beckwith: “Everything you believe in, I have as well.”

This edition’s items include (and we’re sorry in advance):

  • Beckwith is continuing to spread disinformation regarding voting online. Vote count procedures are decided by individual states, with some allowing counting to begin before the election ends. Complaining about the process and demonizing workers only contributes to chaos at the polls. Patience is a virtue, Micah.
  • On Oct. 22, Beckwith held an evening in honor of himself with all donations benefiting him. Typically, proceeds from events like this would go towards the campaign or to the primary candidate, in this case, Mike Braun. The funds raised by Terry Goodin go to the overall McCormick/Goodin effort. Want to tell us where this money is really going, Micah?
  • A few days ago, Trump’s former Chief of Staff John Kelly came forward and noted Trump’s praise and admiration for Hitler and his generals. Self-proclaimed White Christian Nationalist Beckwith immediately slammed this, saying it’s “unhinged,” “false,” and “an insult.” Kelly is a former marine who risked his life to defend our nation so naturally calling him a liar is a really good look, for sure.

And the cherry on top?

A former Republican voter named Walter appeared in an ad for Jennifer McCormick, where he called Beckwith “a bat shit crazy, book-banning piece of work.”

Seems like Micah got his feelings hurt with that one, as he felt it necessary to fire back on both Facebook AND Twitter/X.It not about bathrooms…its about banning books. Maybe he should consider the fact that he’s kind of a perv for caring who uses which bathroom so much. Seems like Micah is more about they/them than he is about you.
