Jim Banks has been all over social media and television, loudly accusing Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Governor Tim Walz of “Stolen Valor.” But what if the real issue lies closer to home? Recent revelations suggest that Jim Banks’ military service may not be as he publicly made it out to be.

During his initial campaign for Congress in 2016, Jim Banks released a :30 bio ad that highlighted his background. In the video, Banks stated, “and when I felt the need to give back, I fought to protect America.” The word “fought” strongly implies that Banks saw combat while serving in Afghanistan. However, there’s a glaring problem: nothing in his official biography, public records, or military awards indicates that he saw any combat.

So, why would Jim Banks imply he saw combat if he did not? This is a serious question that demands answers, especially from someone who is so quick to accuse others of dishonoring military service.
