INDems Send Condolences To Steelworker Family on Loss of International President Tom Conway

Today, the Indiana Democratic Party released the following statement from Chair Mike Schmuhl on the passing of United Steelworkers International President Tom Conway:

“I am immensely saddened by the passing of United Steelworkers International President Tom Conway. Tom was a champion for union labor, good jobs, strong benefits, and fair wages throughout his life, and he got his start in union organizing at USW Local 6787 in Northwest Indiana. He was an unwavering fighter for workplace safety. We will always remember his commitment and accomplishments to improve the quality of life for Hoosier workers and strengthen the labor movement across the country.

On behalf of the Indiana Democratic Party, I send our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the United Steelworkers community, Local and District leaders, and President Conway’s friends and family at this difficult time.”
