Victoria Spartz Hires Staffer With Alleged History of Sexual Harassment

Victoria Spartz is under fire from Hoosiers this week after her latest staff hire, Micah Bock. Buzzfeed News reports that Bock has a history of “nonconsensual physical contact” including a disturbing incident where he “pressed his body — first his arm and later his genitals against” a sleeping woman at a party in 2016.

Bock has also previously diminished and discredited sexual assault victims as a staffer for Rep. Madison Cawthorn. Bock was caught on camera downplaying allegations against his former boss, saying, “yeah, he kissed some people, but I don’t think kissing is sexual assault.”

“This is just the latest lapse in judgement from Victoria Spartz, who continues to show she does not represent Hoosier values,” said DCCC spokesperson Elena Kuhn. “Instead of hiding from the Indiana press and voters, Spartz must explain why she shamefully opted to side with an alleged sexual harasser. Hoosiers deserve better.”
