Today, the National Association of Building Trades Unions endorsed Joe Biden for re-election at its membership conference today. It is the earliest the association has endorsed in a presidential race in its history.

The NABTU represents over three million workers across the United States, and tens of thousands of workers here in Indiana.

“President Biden’s agenda has been focused on good-paying jobs for working people. From the American Rescue Plan to the CHIPS Act to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal, and more, President Biden has made American union labor the cornerstone of his economic agenda,” said Indiana Democratic Party Chairman Mike Schmuhl.

“While Donald Trump made endless promises to workers for an infrastructure deal, President Biden delivered the most comprehensive, historic infrastructure package in American history. We’re proud to have a president that’s focused on good, high-paying union jobs for working men, women, and families.

“The building trades are an essential part of our state, and they’re the force behind new projects in the economy of the future popping up coast-to-coast thanks to President Biden’s leadership. Trump talked constantly of ‘infrastructure week’, but President Biden is delivering an infrastructure generation.”
