The Indiana Democratic Party, the organization that advocates for the future of Indiana and its families, today celebrated the Biden Boom that’s currently happening across the nation – including right here in the Hoosier State. This morning, the U.S. Department of Labor announced that an impressive 467,000 new jobs were added to our country’s economy last month and that the economy added nearly 7 million jobs in 2021. Thanks to the Biden Administration’s economic agenda, which includes the American Rescue Plan and The Jobs Act, our country is seeing a brighter future ahead – further proving that Democrats are leading an economic recovery that is getting folks back to work and building a better tomorrow for the Hoosier State.

In response to this strong jobs report, Lauren Ganapini – Indiana Democratic Party executive director – released the following statement:

“President Biden continues to lead a record-breaking recovery that is delivering on the kitchen-table issues most important to Hoosiers, including creating liveable jobs for workers. By passing the American Rescue Plan and The Jobs Act, Democrats like André Carson and Frank Mrvan are leading the strongest economic recovery in U.S. history, delivering higher wages for workers, and revitalizing our infrastructure system all at the same time. Every Republican who voted against the Rescue Plan – like U.S. Senator Todd Young – has stood in the way of this recovery, and they must answer to their constituents for why they voted ‘NO’ on the very issues they claim to champion.

Indiana Democrats look forward to celebrating this great economic news during ‘The Jobs Tour’ later this month, but families across the state are in good hands as President Biden and Indiana Democrats remain focused on creating a better future for Hoosier families in all 92 counties.”
