As y’all know, Todd Young is a former U.S. Marine. He actually made that the staple of his 2016 campaign and his 2022 reelection effort too. That’s why it’s rather interesting to see Young give Military.com – a news outlet focused on the U.S. Military and veterans – the cold shoulder in a recent media gaggle in D.C.

Here’s the exchange via Punchbowl News

Indiana Democrats issued the following response

“It’s unbecoming of an elected official – not to mention a former U.S. Marine – to give a news outlet focused on the U.S. Military and veterans the cold shoulder. But this is how Todd Young has changed with his years in Washington. When it was time to defend American democracy, Young voted ‘NO’ on forming a nonpartisan commission following the January 6 insurrection. When it was time to support our police, Young voted ‘NO’ on funding law enforcement across Indiana through the American Rescue Plan. When it was time to fix our crumbling infrastructure across the state, Young voted ‘NO’ on better roads, bridges, and broadband internet for all Hoosiers. Todd Young talked about being a Marine throughout his 2016 campaign, but it’s turning out to be nothing but a hollow brand.” – Drew Anderson, spokesman for the Indiana Democratic Party
